The NLL season is only a month away. It's bound to be an odd season after not playing for nearly two years. I'm excited because the Seals are looking pretty good. They lost Austin Staats to knee injury again, but added Dane Dobbie. They've also got two stud rookies in Tre LeClair and Mac O'Keefe who can come in and learn from Wes Berg, Casey Jackson, Zack Greer and Jeremy Noble.

Brodie Merrill, Mark Glicini, Eli Gobrecht, Cam Holding, Graydon Bradley and Drew Belgrave are all returning on defense, and I am hopeful for rookie Reed Rezanka. In the net we have Frank Scigliano returning with Moose Whinery, Brody Harris and Christopher Origlieri fighting for back up positions.

I'm just excited to watch professional box again, but I think the Seals are looking good. I'm also holding out hope that they produce a team card set this year.

What is your team and your thoughts on the upcoming season?

I'm not familiar at all with the NLL but I like the Seals roster, but I think I will be pledging my allegiance to the Toronto Rock because of Tom Schreiber and Latrell Harris. Will definitely be trying to make it to a couple of Atlanta Swarm games this year!

I am taking my kids out of school on Friday, December 3, 2021 to fly down to San Diego to make it to the Home Opener.  I’m so excited for this season.  I’m bummed that Staats is out again, he is my favorite player.  I “high five” the owner, Joe Tsai, on every Seals goal…he sits behind me.  I’m so pumped for the season and I look forward to having in depth conversations about the Seals as the season goes on.  I do have two questions:  How did Staats reinjure his knee?  And, why was Dobie suspended from the league?

We will be there also - can't wait!

The Staats knee thing has been kind of hush-hush. It leaves the impression that this was a non-lacrosse injury.

The first three weeks of the NLL have witnessed some excellent play.  Rochester has been a surprise.  I am glad to see Philly and San Diego playing well. Buffalo and Halifax both look strong.

What I am particularly enjoying is the blending of the veteran players with younger stars like Connor Fields.  Guys who have been around awhile are proving they remain incredibly skilled laxers - like Corey Small, Dane Dobbie, Callum Crawford, Ryan Benesch, Kevin Crowley, and more.  Field lacrosse stars such as Tom Schreiber and Kieran McArdle have really adjusted well to the box game.  I think this will be a very competitive NLL season.

Merry Christmas, a peaceful & joyous holiday season, and a Happy New Year to my fellow forum members.

I'm now hoping we still get an NLL season. Covid is forcing the postponement of several games. I hate to think that we could lose another season.

Happy to say the Seals continue to look good! They've overcome some Covid issues to continue winning. Dan Dobbie is incredible and has really lifted an already talented offense.

After being at the Seals game last night, Wes Berg and Austin Staats look VERY GOOD in the NLL!
